Abstract

Abstract: Acronyms are one of the shortening in Indonesian. This acronym is widely used inILK. The use of acronyms in a comedy show is interesting. This needs to be analyzed todetermine the classification, formation, function, and meaning of acronyms used in the ILK.This research is qualitative descriptive method. The data analyzed in this study were taken fromten video ILK. From the analysis conducted found 75 Data. Seventy five of these data areclassified by the classification, formation, function, and meaning. Classification is the dominantform of the acronym stands for the name of himself in the form of several elements written withinitial letters capitalized with a total of 48 acronym. The dominant formation is the maintenanceof the various letters and syllables which are difficult to formulate with a total of 65 acronyms.The dominant function is pragmatic function with a total of 57 acronym. The dominant meaningis pragmatic meaning with a total of 56 acronym.
