Abstract


ABSTRACT: This study, entitled “Use of Media Picture To Improve Writing Ability SimpleText Conversation Elementary School Grade V 127 Pekanbaru”. The formulation of the problem,namely whether the ability to write simple text conversations Elementary School fifth gradestudents Pekanbaru 127 can be enhanced through the medium of drawing ?. The purpose ofthis study was to determine whether the ability to write simple text conversations ElementarySchool fifth grade students Pekanbaru 127 can be increased by media images. The methodused is qualitative method but descriptively explained by the type of classroom action researchwhich is carried out through four main steps: planning, action, observation / evaluation, learningand reflection conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. Observationscarried out by the same class teacher. The observed activity is the activity of teachers andstudents. The conclusion is the ability to write a simple conversation Elementary School fifthgrade students Pekanbaru 127 can be increased by media images. This diketehui than averageresults in the ability to write a simple conversation initial tests, where the ability of the studentssaid to have not completed (the average value of 66.3), while the classical completeness obtainedwas 35% of students gained grades in accordance completeness Minimum Criteria (KKM) 70.Then on the first cycle 1 meeting, the ability of students achieved at an average value of 71.6,with classical completeness 50% of students or 10 people. At the second meeting obtained anaverage value of 75.6, with a completeness of 65% or 13 students. While in the second cycle 1meeting, the ability of students achieved at an average value of 80.6, with classical completeness75% or 15 people. At the second meeting of the second cycle of the average value reached 85with completeness 90% or 18 students. That is an indicator of success of research has beenreached. So the research hypothesis which says if the media image is applied, then the ability towrite simple text conversations Elementary School fifth grade students Pekanbaru 127 can beimproved, acceptable.
